Mind Games

This site is dedicated to those interested in the magic of the human mind, and all that it encompasses.

Of course, that includes everything - as our perception is our only gateway into reality, and perception itself is the exclusive realm of the mind.

This leaves a pretty broad spectrum of possibility, doesn't it? While we do not define reality itself, we can have nearly infinite control over how we perceive and react to it.

The tools to learn this control are many, although the real tool is singular; your mind. Different systems have been developed to influence thought and perception, and it is our hope to offer a smorgasboard of them here. Two of the primary tools are Neuro Linguistic Programming, (NLP,) and hypnosis. This site begins with a tour of what the internet has to offer in these arenas. A more detailed topical index is here.

Neuro Linguistic Programming is nothing more or less than a system of modeling human activity - be it thought, action, skill, talent or anything else conceivable. A very useful collection of tools and techniques has been developed using NLP modeling techniques.

This indexed, summarized collection of links will lead you through a journey all over the planet - and into some fascinating and sometimes bizarre corners of human consciousness. There are no borders, no limitations... other than those you yourself choose to establish and respect.

Merl's World on NeuroLogistics Merl's site has a little bit of everything. He includes history, bibliography and book lists, as well as links to other sites. It is also a good place to jump into Merl's NLP web ring.
The Writings of Carmine Baffa Ph.D. Dr. Baffa's collection of writings covers a wide range of the facets of NLP, with a scintillating wit and irreverence that is unique and refreshing. This is a must click.
Advanced Neuro Dynamics Online This site is still under construction, but is well on its way to becoming one of the more informative NLP sites. Yes, it does have something to sell (ie. seminars, books, and literature,) however the general information offered is comprehensive and varied. Of particular interest to the Web Mistress is the section on HUNA, the teachings the ancient Hawaiian people.
Mastery InSight Institute of NLP The Web Mistress LOVES this site. Johathan Altfeld has assembled a glitzy, sexy site, chocked full of information. Mastery Insight Institute has successfully offered a multi-media presentation using RealAudio, IRC chat rooms, and articles authored by some of the best-known NLP practioners. A must-click.
Neuro Linguistic Programming with Attention Deficit Disorder ADD is one of the most loosely interpreted diagnoses out there. We are seeing a significant portion of this generation of children, mostly boys, being drugged into submission to avoid the inconvenience of having to deal with them differently from the rest. Dr. Blackerby has put together a dynamic formula designed to reach the minds of these young people and teach them to thrive rather than just survive. The case studies are encouraging and compelling.
Emotional Freedom Techniques This amazing site is created and maintained by Sharon E. Toole, a brilliant psychotherapist who is not afraid to explore and implement all effective methods of therapy. She is an expert in Ericksonian Hypnosis techniques and is a Master Level Practioner of NLP. Her style is bright, informative and thorough. You'll come back to this site often.
The Institute of Neuro-Semantics WOW!!! The best of the best. This site is full of articles, testimonials, links, techniques, etc. Christians who are struggling with NLP concepts will find the section titled "Christianity" extremely helpful. I was particularly touched by the article entitled "Meeting Jesus For the First Time.....Again". Please give this site a click.
The NLP Information Center This is an incredible site! There is a little bit of everything; something for everyone! The links are excellent. There is a lot of practical advice that can be put to immediate use. Lee Lady's NLP Archive This site contains the archive of discussions, recollections and experiences of Lee Lady, a Master NLP Practitioner. The collection is an absolute treasure, well worth the time to read through and relish every item. It is not a flashy or elegent site, but the content is stellar.

Hypnosis encourages an altered state of consciousness, by definition. Consider carefully what the words altered state actually mean. A person is in a very different state of consciousness while working a crossword puzzle than when engaged in lovemaking. Going from any activity to any other will naturally result in an altered state of consciousness. Hypnosis is merely a tool to encourage altered states of consciousness. What is done with these altered states of consciousness says no more about hypnosis than what is done with a computer says about that computer. What can be done, of course, is pretty much limitless.
